What
Flow Phangan is a popup community, and a part of the Zuzalu archipelago. As a non-commercial event, there is no ticket, though there may be a small charge for some food and space costs to be determined. Although both the founders of this event are ETH hodlrs, this isn't a crypto event per se - just cool people building cool things :)
We have a villa on the Thai island of Koh Phangan to use as informal coworking and gathering space but the rest is up to you.
A handful of people will stay in the villa itself, we encourage others to find their own lodging nearby! We are keeping things simple: a group chat for coordination, some community dinners and informal unconference-style sessions on weekdays. High-agency individuals welcome; we're not hand-holding.
Why Koh Phangan?
In our opinion, it's one of the best places in the world to nomad:
- Low cost of living, excellent views and beaches, and easy to get modern amenities
- Cost per meal of $2 - $6
- The island culture is fantastic: Muay Thai, multiple ecstatic dances, an active yoga & conscious community
- Accommodation on island for all budgets: from $400/mo bungalows to $10k/mo luxury villas (split with your friends!)
Who We Are
We're two remote-working devs who want to gather like-minded builders:
- Atin: An experienced founder and engineer, working on a new startup
- Jack: A developer focused on AI-augmented building and Muay Thai, working as a remote engineering consultant
We're not running a conference; we're simply providing a temporal and physical anchor to gather good souls.
Where
The main villa is between Zen Beach and Hin Kong Beach. Book your lodging within a short scooter ride to keep things close.
